The primary purpose and key take-a-way for this session is for defining and applying Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in a way that provides the attendees with a clear roadmap, as to why each of these components are important, how to apply them in a seamlessly integrated manner, and what the expected outcomes should be when done effectively.
This area of exploration will focus on answering the questions: Why is DEI important to your organization? Why does it even matter? And Why should you or anyone even care? Why? Why? Why? Helping people understand why something exists is always beneficial for any organization. Answering the question ‘why’ empowers people with a sense of purpose. When people don’t know the purpose of something; dysfunction, discord, and division are inevitable. Often- times when people do something simply because they were told to do so, or because they have to do it, it lacks efficacy and impact.
Taking the time to understand the purpose of something and its very reason. for being, greatly increases the value, impact, and precision of the entire experience. This component of the training will challenge the participants to explore their own reasons as to why DEI is important, as well as equip them with a sound moral perspective and data-based business rationale for why DEI matters.
